Tom Horder has a mixed Criminal, Civil and Regulatory law practice. He prosecutes and defends serious criminal cases from frauds to sexual assaults. His regulatory law practice encompasses trading standards, licensing, animal welfare and aviation offences. Tom also acts and advises in cases involving serious injuries arising from road traffic accidents and accidents at work. Please see his specialist profiles for further detail.

Before coming to the Bar, Tom worked for a well known firm of North London solicitors and as a legal researcher in the Human Rights Litigation Unit at Liberty. In his spare time he collects records, flies planes and follows Wimbledon AFC.

In July 2009 Tom was appointed to the Attorney-General’s Unified List of Prosecuting Advocates (Panel C).

defence junior in a complex 'white collar' VAT fraud.

R v Cleall [2009] EWCA Crim 66 -
successful appeal against sentence that considered the approach to be adopted when sentencing mothers of young children to custodial terms.

R v Eunice Spry -
defence junior in infamous case of a step-mother accused of extreme cruelty to her children over a period of 14 years.

R v Rasiak -
defending a well known footballer in driving matters.

R v X -
successful defence of a 13 year old accused of sexual assault by penetration.
