Crime

Sarah Langford is regularly instructed in a wide range of criminal work in the Youth, Magistrates’ and Crown Court. She has particular experience in the following:

  • Considerable trial experience
  • Crown Court appeals against conviction and sentence
  • Sentences, Bail Applications, Section 51 Hearings, Plea and Directions Hearings and Mentions
  • Sexual Offences Prevention Orders

Sarah has been instructed to represent Defendants accused of a wide range of offences and has considerable experience in dealing with the following:

  • Violent offences (including common assault, ABH, GBH and domestic violence)
  • Public Order offences (including group affrays and violent disorders)
  • Defence of young offenders from 11 to 17
  • Racially aggravated and homophobic offences
  • Driving offences (including pleas in mitigation for speeding offences and arguing special reasons for drink driving offences)
  • Weapons offences
  • Drugs offences
  • Sexual offences

In addition Sarah represents serving prisoners at Independent Adjudication Hearings.

Sarah has also prosecuted in the Crown and Magistrates’ Court on behalf of the National Probation Service and local Educational Authorities.
